Singapore’s CEPAS-compliant cards issuer EZ-Link has launched a new near field communication-based (NFC) mobile application to enable reloading of ez-link cards.

The My EZ-Link Mobile app has been designed to convert NFC handsets into portable personal top-up devices, allowing payments to be carried out with credit or debit cards, with MasterCard as the preferred card. Each top-up will be charged a fee of S$0.30 per transaction.

My EZ-Link Mobile allows users to view card transaction history to up to last 30 transactions, card balance, multiple ez-link cards management and app personalisation.

Developed in partnership with Wirecard, a global payment processing and issuing firm, My EZ-Link Mobile enables secure, fast and easy mobile payments. McAfee Mobile Security software will be offered to user for online vigilance support.

EZ-Link CEO, Nicholas Lee, said, "Using My EZ-Link Mobile service will enable every household to have their own top up device, where they can enjoy on demand top ups, permitting them to perform cashless payments on public transit and at more than 30,000 acceptance points including taxis, supermarkets and fast food chains island-wide.
