Inlaks Computers, a Nigeria-based ICT and Infrastructure solutions provider, has deployed the new Hyosung Windows 7 automated teller machines (ATMs) in banks.
The move by the company is part of its plan to help Nigerian banks enhance their banking operations.
According to Inlaks Computers executive director, Rajiv Bhatnagar, Hyosung Windows 7 ATMs deliver expanded security solutions with tighter control of process to transmit communication using a technique known as Session Zero Isolation, which makes it difficult for malware to exploit process and session boundaries.
Inlaks Computers CEO and managing director, Femi Adeoti, said the deployment is ahead of Microsoft’s announcement of support stoppage for Windows XP in April 2014.
“The deployment began early this year and some banks have already taken advantage of Hyosung Windows seven ATMs. The company still has large stocks of the products available to meet customers’ demands,” Adeoti added.
Some of the lenders in the country that use the platform include First Bank, StanbicIBTC, Union Bank, Heritage Bank, Unity Bank, Jaiz Bank, Fidelity Bank, Keystone Bank, Access Bank, Skye Bank, Sterling Bank and Zenith Bank, including other microfinance banks.
