BillGuard, an Israel-based personal finance firm, has released an Android application featuring credit-card-hack warning system that will alert users when their credit-card details have been stolen by hackers.

The new BillGuard app, which is available for both Android phones and tablets, will help card holders to combat rising credit-card fraud and financial-data theft.

Using the new app, users can confirm that they made a purchase by simply swiping the charges as they appear on the app; however, they don’t recognize a charge, and they will have to swipe left to reject a charge.

BillGuard founder and chief technology officer, Raphael Ouzan, was quoted by The Wall Street Journal saying that when it comes to hacker breaches, BillGuard will give merchants "an acceptable length of time, say under one week" to disclose the breach before notifying the authorities.
