Commercial Bank of Qatar has introduced an online security feature, 3D Secure, to all its Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club credit and debit cards.

The new feature will provide protection to the bank customers at par with global online security standards by prohibiting unauthorized online transactions.
3D Secure portal will prompt online shoppers and traders to type a one-time password (OTP), sent to customers’ registered mobile numbers, while making any online transaction using the ‘Verified by Visa’, ‘MasterCard Secure Code’ or ‘Diners Club Protect Buy sign’ payment systems.
The feature will also work overseas after registering an international mobile number online or at a Commercial Bank branch.
