Emerging Markets Payments (EMP) and Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) have announced a processing partnership for debit and credit cards that has allowed GTBank to introduce the first platinum MasterCard Credit Card in Kenya.

The MasterCard branded cards will enable customers to access their bank accounts 24/7 through the bank’s ATM network.

Customers will also be able to access bank accounts at any other MasterCard branded ATMs as well as at Points of Sale (POS) throughout the country and worldwide.

GTBank East Africa managing director Ibukun Odegbaike said: "The GTBank Platinum MasterCard enables us to provide our affluent customers with a financial product that meets their constantly changing banking needs.

"We are passionate about innovation and pleased to work with MasterCard and EMP to develop market relevant payment products and solutions."
