Chase Commerce Solutions, the payment processing and merchant acquiring business of JPMorgan Chase, has acquired an additional EMV certification solution from Underwriters Laboratory’s (UL) to allow businesses streamline the certification process to accept chip credit and debit cards at the point of sale.

According to UL Transaction Security Division commercial director Sherif Samy, the Chase Payment module was particularly designed for Chase to allow their large and midsized business clients to test and pre-certify their end-to-end EMV solution before certification.

Working with the existing brand test tool solution of UL, the module helps reap time benefits, enhances efficiency as well as combines documentation, support services and tools.

Chase Commerce Solutions executive director Mitchell Scott said: "The Chase Payment module will complement UL’s Brand Test solution that we’ve used for six years and provide both our business clients and developers a comprehensive testing tool to migrate to EMV.

"In addition, the EMV Implementation Guide we developed with B2 and UL will provide our partners with critical information required to implement their EMV migration projects with us."
