Canada’s Community First Credit Union has tapped Everlink Payment Services’ Central Card Issuance (CCI) solution to offer contactless and EMV chip debit cards to its members.
The CCI solution allows financial providers to produce contactless as well as EMV chip debit cards from a secure central facility.
In addition, the solution also offers distribution options to send the cards directly to the card-holder or to the branch.
Everlink Payment Services president and CEO Mark Ripplinger said: “Everlink is proud to extend its long-standing partnership with Community First Credit Union Limited to include the Everlink Central Card Issuance solution, enabling them to bring the latest Interac Flash technology to their members while building the foundation for new Mobile Payments capabilities.”
Interac Flash technology is a prerequisite for financial organisations who intend to brace up for the upcoming launch of Mobile Payments in Canada later in 2016.
Community First Credit Union chief information officer Jamie McLeod added: “Community First aspires to ensure that our members benefit from market leading technology that will help them be financially successful and our strategic alliance with Everlink helps us to achieve this vision.”
