MasterCard has launched its new premium credit card products namely the World MasterCard and World Elite MasterCard in South Africa.
The new suite of premium credit cards aims to offer affluent consumers and frequent travelers a number of travel benefits and lifestyle privileges both at home and overseas.

World MasterCard provides access to exclusive, preferential travel experiences including room upgrades at select hotels and discounted airline tickets.
Additionally, the cardholders will be offered extra convenience of a dedicated South African-based travel concierge service to help book their next business trip or family holiday, as well as lounge membership to access over 500 airport lounges globally.
Other benefits for World MasterCard holders include complimentary hotel nights at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, access to MasterCard’s Priceless Africa platform, and discounts on serviced apartments in New York, London, Paris, and Dubai.
World Elite MasterCard cardholders will get added perks including premium loyalty membership, unlimited airport lounge access for the cardholder and a guest as well as airport meet and greet discounts. They also receive 24/7 access to a lifestyle and travel concierge service.

MasterCard has also developed the MasterCard For You app, available to iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows users. The app offers access to the World MasterCard and World Elite MasterCard benefits such as Buy 1 Get 1 offers at over 1,400 hotels, fine dining restaurants and premium spas across the Middle East and Africa.
Both cards come with insurance benefits to offers peace of mind when travelling abroad such as card fraud protection, ATM robbery and travel medical insurance, luggage and purchase protection, and travel emergency cover of up to $500,000.
