Winnipeg Transit, the public transit agency in Winnipeg, Canada, has announced the availability of its reloadable peggo card to all transit customers.
The card, which was earlier limited to seniors, can be bought at 97 locations, including all 7-Eleven and Shoppers Drug Mart stores as well as 18 other independent and City of Winnipeg outlets.
Furthermore, the cards are available for purchase online at WinnipegTransit.com or by calling 311. The full fare peggo cards are available in white colour, while senior and youth peggo cards are in green colour.
To use the Peggo card, users just need to tap their card against the peggo card reader on the farebox, wait for the beep, and go.
There are two types of fares which can be loaded onto peggo cards: e-passes and e-cash.
e-passes replace paper passes and are valid for an unlimited number of trips during a set number of consecutive days. It is available from 24 hours in length all the way up to an annual pass.
