Ukash, an online cash payment provider, has teamed up with ZapZap, the free mobile payments wallet, to enable mobile users to store, manage and spend their Ukash vouchers on the go.

The collaboration will enable consumers to tap the power of mobile transactions, making the use of debit or credit cards redundant.

In order to use the new service, the users will have to download the ZapZap app to their mobile device, after which, they can scan their Ukash voucher code using their smartphone’s camera and load it into their ZapZap wallet.

They can then spend or transfer funds to friends and family without any delay or security concerns. The service is currently available in the UK, Europe and the Nordic countries.

Available for iOS, Android and Windows devices, the free ZapZap app enables users to send and receive money from any of their mobile contacts, including Facebook friends.

The company claims this is the first digital wallet that gives consumers a stored value and balance of their Ukash funds. In addition, it also enables users to create Ukash codes for purchases on e-commerce sites as well as utilize ZapZap MasterCards available in the app.
