Gemalto has announced that its Allynis Trusted Service Hub has teamed up with Telenor, DNB and SpareBank 1 enabling them for the commercial roll out of Valyou, a mobile NFC payment service, in Norway.

Valyou, with four more banks lining up to join the community, will allow more users to make secure payments at fast food restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations with a simple touch of their smart-phone on an NFC-ready terminal.

Gemalto’s hub platform for Valyou, hosted in Gemalto’s certified secure data centers, will ensure banking-grade security for NFC payments besides offering banks, mobile and transport operators and other digital service providers a single connection to deploy their mobile services securely and seamlessly.

Tor Jacobsen, CEO for Valyou, said: "We are eager to promote NFC take up in Norway and provide all consumers with multiple innovative services, starting with payment and moving on to ID, access control, ticketing, loyalty and special offers."
