Online and mobile classifieds firm Quikr, backed by Warburg Pincus and Tiger Global, Quikr, has held talks with mobile wallet providers MobiKwik and Paytm to build a new in-site-payment option.

If the deal materializes, Quikr will provide in-site payment options to consumers as part of end-to-end offerings.

Upasana Taku, head of business development and merchant operations at MobiKwik, said that classifieds enterprise OLX is also planning to provide similar services.

"We have been talking to both these players for almost a year. They also enable payments right now but it is only to help the buyer have a premium listing. These classifieds sites want to monetize on the transactions they are empowering and based on this consumer sentiment, they are getting more aggressive and interested in this," added Taku.

The integration of payment services enables classifieds sites to provide a complete set of offerings to consumers across categories.
