Payment technology company Verifone has joined forces with payworks to launch a mobile point of sale (mPOS) solution for acquirers and global retailers.
The collaboration will deliver a joint product package based on Verifone’s E Series of terminal devices, allowing acquirers and network service providers (NSPs) to offer their retail merchants an easy-to-integrate mPOS solution.
The solution, which is now available in Germany, is expected to launch into other regions soon.
The new solution will allow acquirers and NSPs to deliver Verifone E Series devices as well as their traditional terminal offering. It also offers retailers, electronic cash register software providers with a fast and easy way to add secure card payments into their in-store mPOS solutions.
Verifone E Series terminals, which provide retailers with increased mobility and flexibility in their stores, feature an integrated 2D-barcode scanner and the ability to physically attach to tablets.
payworks operates a payment platform that allows mPOS applications providers to integrate payment terminals into their apps via its mPOS software development kit (SDK).
