WorldRemit, a London-based online money transfer service, has launched its remittance service to Egypt enabling customers in 52 countries to transfer money from the WorldRemit app to any bank account in Egypt.
The company currently provides its service to more than 125 destination countries worldwide.

WorldRemit allows customers to send money abroad using iOS and Android mobile apps.
WorldRemit CEO & founder Ismail Ahmed said: "Remittances play an important role for prosperity and development in Egypt. Today, Egyptians abroad can skip the queues at high-street transfer agents and use the WorldRemit app to send money home with just a few taps on their smartphone."
A World Bank study found that remittances to Egypt totaled more than $19bn in 2014.
In February 2015, WorldRemit raised $100m in a funding round led by Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV).
