Ingenico Group, a payment solutions provider, has secured the first nexo certification (Oscar OIS v3.2) for its centralised payment management solution for large merchants and organised commerce.
nexo’s new-generation standards, which are developed by the main players in the industry, provide a set of coherent specifications for card payment acceptance. These international standards look to replace those in force in each country.
These standards provide merchants many benefits such as standard systems for international card acceptance, lower payment management costs, simplified integration with checkout systems as well as a wider range of banking partners.
Ingenico said that the receipt of the certification demonstrates the group’s investment in supporting merchants and developing solutions for international, cross-channel payments.
Ingenico Group multi-channel services director Stéphane Jacquis said: "We are convinced that nexo standards will be adopted very quickly. More and more international distributors understand the benefits of these standards in terms of efficiency gained and time and costs saved.
"We are pleased to be the first to offer and deploy a solution conformant to the latest nexo European standards, which confirms Ingenico Group’s leadership in multi-country payment acceptance."
