Moneris Solutions, a Canada-based payment processing firm, has entered into an agreement with Planet Payment, a provider of international and multi-currency payment processing services, to deliver multi-currency processing solutions to its merchants across Canada.
This deal will allow Moneris to integrate Planet Payment’s currency conversion technology into its suite of product offerings.

Planet Payment said that the agreement will enable the firm to significantly expand its solution reach in Canada.
Moneris currently has over 350,000 merchant locations, processing more than three billion credit and debit card transactions annually.
The solution allows international customers to pay for their retail purchase, restaurant bill or hotel stay in their own currency.
It has been designed to target retailers, restaurants or hoteliers as well as online merchants, who focus on new markets by pricing in multiple currencies.
