PayPal is joining forces with IT company MICROS to allow over half a million more businesses to offer PayPal.

The collaboration with MICROS, an IT services and hardware provider with a portfolio of over 567,000 clients in the hospitality and retail industries, will give PayPal even more access to businesses and consumers worldwide.

Don Kingsborough, Vice President of Retail Services at PayPal, said: "PayPal is thrilled to collaborate with industry leaders like MICROS to deliver unique and useful experiences for both merchants and consumers,

"MICROS provides PayPal a broader and deeper reach into hospitality and retail verticals, where they are tremendously strong, and where opportunities are limitless to build amazing payments experience at the point of sale."

PayPal’s many payment methods will be built into MICROS point of sale platforms, allowing customers to pay online, by card or with a mobile phone.
