Yantra Financial Technologies, a financial technology firm, has completed certification with the inter-bank electronic funds transfer network, PULSE, for gateway and debit card processing.
The certification will allow Yantra to authorize prepaid and debit card transactions from various networks, including PULSE, Cirrus, Maestro and MasterCard.
The PULSE certification process will require the issuing direct-connect processor to handle and react to hundreds of transaction scenarios without error over a sustained period of time with a particular emphasis on three areas namely connectivity, online message handling and offline settlement processing.
Randy San Nicolas, head of Prepaid Solutions for Yantra, said: "We selected PULSE as our gateway processor based on its ability to provide connectivity to a wide variety of card brands. Additionally, PULSE will enable us to develop proprietary account products usable at PULSE merchants and ATMs.
"The new relationship with PULSE allows our product specialists and engineers to focus on developing the card and account issuing applications our customers need. We gain access to several debit networks through a single, secure and reliable integration without the burden of managing multiple technical connections."
