In a statement, Mastercard said the launch marks the companies’ “first major integration” since the acquisition.
Global Money Platform provides modular infrastructure for banks, fintechs and enterprises. They can embed multi-currency accounts holding fiat currencies and stablecoins into products under their own brands.
Available capabilities include real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards and local bank payouts through Mastercard Move. Businesses can also use the platform to manage their own treasury, payments and settlement activity
Mastercard said customers can start with the capabilities they need and add others as they become available, rather than integrating separate providers for each service.
Nuvei, Marqeta, Ontop, Beem and Almond FinTech are among the first companies set to integrate the platform.
Mastercard Blockchain and Digital Assets executive vice-president Raj Dhamodharan said: “We believe the future of commerce will be built on interoperability across multiple forms of money. Global Money Platform brings together Mastercard’s trusted payment infrastructure and reach with BVNK’s stablecoin capabilities, giving businesses a single foundation to move value across traditional and digital ecosystems.
“This is an important step in bringing our multi-money strategy to life and enabling the next generation of programmable and agentic commerce.”
A central feature is a multi-currency account that lets users hold and convert fiat currencies and stablecoins through one integration.
Fintechs and other platforms can embed the accounts in their own products, while businesses can use them to manage funds, receivables and payouts. The accounts also support configurable rewards and other features.
The integration with Mastercard Move is designed to let users make local-currency payments to recipients’ bank accounts using stablecoin balances.
Mastercard said Move reaches more than 17 billion endpoints. It expects coverage to expand to more than 40 currencies across over 200 countries and territories in 2027.
Mastercard said Global Money Platform customers will be able to spend stablecoin balances at merchant locations across its acceptance network.
Future plans include support for tokenised deposits and agentic commerce. Mastercard Global Money Platform is available through BVNK.
