Ingenico has acquired Italian payment terminals service provider
TNET.

Ingenico’s executive vice president SEPA-Europe Region,
Pierre-Antoine Vacheron said that the “acquisition of TNET reflects
our strategy aimed at strengthening our technical services
activity”.

In an official statement, Ingenico said that the reinforcement
of its positioning in the Italian market would make it the “largest
independent company for POS-related services.”

Vacheron added : “[The acquisition] will further develop our
offer with improved technical services for our customers and a
corresponding managed based of close to 300.000 terminals in
Italy”.

TNET was founded in 1998 and provides on-site services to the
e-payments market, managing 45,000 terminals.

The company has recently signed new contracts and expects the
number of terminals to rise to 50,000 in the next few months.
