SIX Payment Services, a provider of mPOS solutions, has released its latest mobile terminal that allows merchants and traders to easily accept cashless payments.

The new solution, dubbed mPRIME, enables payments to be processed quickly and securely through the merchant’s tablet or smartphone (iOS or Android).

Through mPRIME, merchants can accept all major credit and debit cards  – Visa, V PAY, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, PostFinance, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay and JCB. It also meets the latest security standard.

The new mobile payment terminal also supports contactless payments using near-field communication (NFC) besides providing billing in customers’ home currency (DDC).

Large companies can enhance the use of mPRIME using a barcode scanner and can integrate it into their existing cash register systems.

SIX Payment Services head of merchant services Roger Niederer said: “With the new mPRIME mobile payment terminal, we are responding to the growing demand for mobile points of sale and also supporting smaller merchants with straightforward, modern payment solutions.”
