Nayax has introduced VPOS Media 4, a PIN-enabled payment terminal for the UK’s self-service and unattended commerce market.
The launch comes as unattended retail expands beyond traditional low-value vending into areas such as EV charging, parking, kiosks and laundromats. Around 80% of vending machines in the UK now support cashless payments.

VPOS Media 4 is an Android-based terminal designed for unattended use. It supports both contactless and chip-and-PIN payments through a built-in touchscreen.
The device is part of Nayax’s broader commerce platform, which combines payment processing, device management, loyalty programmes and consumer engagement tools in one system.
Beyond payments, the terminal allows operators to run promotions, monitor performance in real time and manage devices remotely.
Built on an open API architecture, VPOS Media 4 supports major payment methods including EMV, NFC and QR codes.
Nayax said the terminal is its first to combine PCI PTS 6.x certified PIN-on-Glass technology with a four-inch colour touchscreen.
The device also includes remote configuration, over-the-air updates and connectivity features aimed at reducing risks linked to telecom network shutdowns.
Its API-driven Android architecture also allows larger operators and OEMs to develop custom applications while remaining connected to Nayax’s payment infrastructure.
Yair Nechmad, CEO and chairman at Nayax, commented: “As unattended services expand into areas like EV charging, parking and kiosks, operators need payment technology capable of supporting larger transactions securely and reliably. The introduction of VPOS Media 4 extends Nayax’s capabilities in the UK and enables us to further address these challenges while allowing our operators to move beyond payments and into engagement-led revenue growth opportunities.
Earlier this week, Nayax launched the VPOS Media 4 Series in Japan, including the VPOS Media 4 and VPOS Media 4 Mini.
The devices are currently available there with QR code acceptance, while credit card (EMV) and E-money support is due in July 2026.
In the first quarter of 2026, Nayax reported revenue of $107m, up 32% year on year.
Organic growth was 26%, while adjusted EBITDA rose 43% to 13% of revenue. Its installed base passed 1.5 million connected devices during the quarter, with a customer base of 120,000.
